Consistent performance for campaigns

I've been using Constant Contact for my small business for a couple of years now. This last time, I focused on their Social Media Marketing integration. It performed as reliably as my previous Email Marketing campaigns. It's nice to see that consistency; it makes managing everything much easier without worrying about new issues popping up. It's why I keep coming back.

Email marketing made easy!

I absolutely loved using Constant Contact for my small business's email marketing needs! The Email Templates were so user-friendly and made my newsletters look super professional. I even used the List Segmentation feature to target different customer groups. I'll definitely be back for more marketing tools!

Decent platform, some quirks

I signed up for their Marketing Automation and found it pretty robust for the price. Setting up drip campaigns was intuitive. However, I did notice the E-commerce Integrations could be a bit smoother; I had a slight hiccup connecting with my shop platform. Support was helpful though, and got me sorted in a day or so. Good value, but not perfectly seamless.

Good value on the free trial

I was looking to save some money and saw they had a free trial, so I gave their Email Marketing a shot. It was totally worth it to test out the features without committing to anything. I got to try out the Email Templates and even sent a few campaigns. I'm now considering a paid plan because it felt like a good deal for what you get.

Good for getting started

I tried out the Email Marketing for my new online shop. It was pretty straightforward to set up, and I got my first newsletter out without too much fuss. The automated welcome emails worked nicely. It felt like a solid platform overall, no real complaints.

Anyone know if you can actually use more than one promo code? I found one for a free trial and another for a percentage off, wondering if they stack.

A Amber 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure you can't stack them. Most of these services only let you use one discount at a time. Usually the system picks the best one or applies the first one entered.

I've never been able to stack codes with them. It's usually either the trial or a percentage off, not both. They usually have their bigger discounts built into the prepayment options too, so check those out.

I'm a non-profit, does Constant Contact offer any special pricing for us? Hoping to save a bit of cash where I can.

D Derek 2 months ago
Absolutely! They have a pretty good discount for non-profits. You usually just need to provide some documentation during signup or after to prove your non-profit status. It makes a big difference.

Yep, they do! Look for the non-profit section on their site or contact sales. I know a few orgs that use it and get a significant percentage off.

How does constant contact compare to mailchimp these days? I've been with MC forever but kinda feeling like I need something more robust, especially for automations.

S Sarah Brooks 2 months ago
I switched from Mailchimp to CC about a year ago for exactly that reason. The automations in CC are way easier to set up and seem more powerful for segmentation. Took a bit to get used to the interface but glad I did.

Honestly, it depends on what you're doing. For basic email blasts, they're pretty similar. But if you're getting into more complex funnels or needing integrated social stuff, CC is probably a step up. Mailchimp always felt a bit clunky for anything beyond simple campaigns for me.

Thinking of trying out constant contact for my small biz. Anyone know if they still do that free trial thing? Don't want to commit if it's not a good fit.

A Anna E. 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely do! I got a 60-day one when I signed up last fall. Just look for the trial links on their site, it's pretty clear.

I think it depends on the offer you find. I only got 30 days, but that was still enough time to mess around with it and see if I liked it. So yes, there's always a trial.

Hey, thinking of signing up for a year to get the discount. What's the deal with cancelling? Can I bail if it's not working out or am I locked in for the whole year?

P Phil Nguyen 1 month ago
You can cancel at any time, but I don't think they give refunds for prepaid annual plans if you cancel early. You just won't be charged again after your current period ends, afaik. So you'd still get to use up the time you paid for.

Yeah, pretty sure it's like most subscriptions. You can cancel, but you won't get your money back for the unused portion of a pre-paid year. Definitely read the fine print on that before you commit to the 12 months.
